What is the best way to book?

We highly recommend booking directly on our website to get the best price and avoid commissions payments on booking portals. With direct bookings we offer the most flexible cancellation policy.

How do I get to the destination?

We highly recommend renting a car, which is the most convenient way of transportation in Senja. You can rent a car in Finnsnes, Tromsø or Bardufoss. Before travelling with the car please make sure you check the route beforehand on the map on State Highways Authority to avoid closed roads, tunnels or bridges.

There are some ferries and speed boat routes between Tromsø, Finnsnes and Harstad available:

Is there a grocery store around?

There is a grocery store within walking distance from the apartments in Stonglandseidet, Skaland and Hamnvik. The closest grocery store to Vangsvik is located in Finnsnes (15 km distance). Local supermarkets are open from Monday to Saturday, but usual opening hours are limited and we recommend checking them beforehand. All stores in Finnsnes and Senja are closed on Sundays.

Where can I charge an electric car?

We provide information about charging in our Guest App. You get a link to it with your booking confirmation message.

I have to cancel my booking. Can I get a refund?

We are very sorry you won’t be able to visit us this time. Cancellation policy depends on the length of your stay. By booking directly you can get a full refund if you cancel:

  •  up to 12 noon on the day before arrival, for stays lasting between 1 and 3 nights
  •  up to 12 noon 2 days before arrival, for stays lasting between 4 and 9 nights
  •  up to 12 noon 5 days before arrival, for stays lasting between 10 and 90 nights

Beyond these times, or in case of “no show” on the day of arrival, we apply the following cancellation penalty charges:

  • deducting the value of 1 night’s stay based on the tariff booked, for stays lasting between 1 and 3 nights
  • deducting the value of 2 nights’ stay based on the tariff booked, for stays lasting between 4 and 9 nights
  • not reimbursing the accommodation deposit paid for stays lasting longer than 10 nights. For more information read our terms and conditions.

I booked the accommodation! What happens now?

We are happy to hear you are coming to visit Senja! You will find a booking confirmation email from us with important information and tips for your trip in our Guest App. One day before your arrival you will receive an email with check-in details.

How do I enter the apartment?

Welcome to Senja! You will find a key box right by the door. You will receive a code and other details such as exact address and wi-fi password for your check-in by email one day before your arrival.

Can I park my car beside the apartment?

Yes, there is a parking space for each apartment in every destination.

What is available in the apartment?

Each apartment has bedding and towels ready for you. Feel free to use the washing machine, drying machine and dishwasher. There is a toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine available. All kitchen appliances are ready for your usage.

There is no TV in available.

Baby cribs are not available. If you need a baby crib please contact us.

I want to cancel a part of my booking. Can I get a refund?

In the event of partial cancellation of a booking before the arrival date, no charge will be applied for cancellation:

  • up to 12 noon on the day before arrival, for stays lasting between 1 and 3 nights
  • up to 12 noon 2 days before arrival, for stays lasting between 4 and 9 nights
  • up to 12 noon 4 days before arrival, for stays lasting between 10 and 90 nights

In the event of partial cancellation of a booking after the arrival date (early departure), we reserve the right to apply the following penalty charges:

  • one night, for stays lasting between 1 and 9 nights.
  • the nights cancelled (up to a limit of 10 nights), for stays lasting between 10 and 27 nights.
  • the nights cancelled (up to a limit of 28 nights), for stays lasting between 28 and 90 nights.
  • the nights cancelled (up to a limit of 91 nights), for stays lasting longer than 91 nights.
